Overview
With the rapid gain in popularity of the high-speed mobile communication in recent years, the market is preferring slimline PC such as tablet form or Ultrabook as the mobile device. To install a communication module into these slimline mobile devices, a module with slimmer format than conventional module is required.
It is also expected that the requirements for M.2 specification products to realize the slimline format will increase in the future as the next generation card format specification for the card modules that will be installed in the PC devices including the tablets and the Ultrabook PCs.
For the above background, Mitsumi Electric has developed the WiMAX module in M.2 format that will be required by the PC devices in the future, and at the same time, developed the High Power compatible product to enhance the connectivity and the communication performance.

Standard specification size of 30(W)×42(L)×2.3(D)mm
WiMAX communication module that have supported the form factor “M.2” for the next-generation slimline PC/tablet.

WiMAX High Power support
Enhancement of connectivity in wider area can be expected by the WiMAX High Power support.

Various standards are acquired by the module it self
Have acquired TELEC, JATE, UQ WiMAX Certification, and WiMAX Forum Certification.

Supporting OS is Windows 8
(scheduled to support Windows 7/8.1 sequentially)

World WiMAX support (support is being planned)

Adoption by the next-generation PC
(It is installed in the Panasonic Let’s note AX3)
