■Overview
The consumption current of devices such as smartphones and tablets has increased in recent years in line with their increased functionality. Camera flashes, GPS units and multiple applications running at the same time generates large instantaneous currents, and concerns over effects that were not previously considered in previous sets called for current protection function to suit the type of current mode.
The
< MM3721 Series > allows a 2-stage discharge overcurrent detection voltage detection delay time to be set. Optimum protected operation to suit each mode under ordinary use and during load concentrations ensures a high level of safety. Overcurrent detection is achieved with external sensing resistance which makes it less susceptible to temperature and voltage fluctuations, and allows countermeasures against heat for the battery pack to be designed easily.
