■Overview
This IC is a compact, high-precision system reset IC with a watchdog timer. It monitors a system and automatically resets the system with a reset signal on detection of an abnormality, thereby preventing uncontrolled breakdown.
The IC has a feature whereby it is possible to select a ratio between a watchdog timer monitor time (TWD) and a power on reset time (TPR) by fixing the SELECT terminal H or L.
The detection voltages are ranked in 0.1V steps in a 1.8 to 4.2V range. Also, by switching the INH terminal to H or L, the watchdog timer function can be switched OFF/ON. When the timer function is OFF, only a drop in the power voltage will be detected.
The IC is available as VSOP-8D (MM3527) and VSOP-8C (MM3601) packages.
