■Overview
There is a need for products that prevent early reduction in capacity due to self-discharge for the multicell DC packs used in power tools and electric motorbikes. Since it is not possible to eliminate the self-discharge that occurs in each cell, a circuit is necessary to correct any differences in the cell voltages within the battery pack.
Mitsumi has developed the <MM3513 series>, which are a voltage monitoring ICs of the CMOS process low-current consumption type and which provide a bypass for the charge currents directed to cells where the voltage is high.
