■Overview
In recent years, the market for solar cells that enable electricity to be generated in an environmentally-friendly way has expanded.
At Mitsumi, we have developed a charge control IC <MM3505XR> with low charge current detection for mobile solar cells.
To improve the power generating capabilities of the solar cell, current consumption is reduced to as little as 1/10 of that of previous charge control ICs, and the low-current region where charge control is possible is expanded to just 1/100 of the minimum level for previous models. Hence, charging is possible even when light levels are low.
§ Features
1. |
Due to the low charge current detection configuration, charge control is possible over expanded current range (from 0.2 mA) |
2. |
Configuration keeps current consumption to 30 μA or less. |
3. |
Built-in protection functions such as reverse current prevention, cell voltage detection and temperature monitoring. |
4. |
Small size 3.0 (W) x 3.0 (D) x 0.75 (H) unit:mm |
