Temperature switch IC with hysteresis function
MM3488
Announced on February 19, 2010
Overview
In the < MM3488 >, Mitsumi has developed a temperature switch with a small size and low current consumption suitable for inclusion in portable devices.
It enables appropriate temperature management thanks to an accuracy of ± 2.0ºC and a hysteresis function.

§ Features
1.
Temperature accuracy: ± 2.0ºC
2.
Low current consumption: 1.5 µA typ.
3.
Circuit mounting area reduced through use of small-sized SSON-4B package (1.4 × 1.1 × 0.55 mm) or PLP-4 package (1.0 × 1.0 × 0.60 mm).

§ Main specifications
Detection temperature accuracy
± 2.0ºC max.
Detection temperature range
+60 to +90ºC
Operating supply voltage
+1.6 to +5.0 V

1.5 µA typ.
Dimensions
1.4 × 1.1 × 0.55 or 1.0 × 1.0 × 0.60 (Unit: mm)
Package
SSON-4B or PLP-4

* Hysteresis function
This is a function for holding the output when the temperature fluctuates in the region of the detected temperature. The effect is achieved by setting the detection temperature and detection release temperatures at different temperatures. This function makes it possible to maintain a stable output.
