■Overview
In quasi-resonance-type AC/DC power supplies, losses in the secondary side rectifier device can be reduced in comparison to a conventional diode rectifier by using simultaneous rectification on the secondary side with a <MM3473 Series> and MOSFET combination.
§ Features
1. |
Simultaneous rectifier MOSFET is controlled using secondary side detection signal alone. |
2. |
Erroneous operations due to ringing can be prevented by adjusting minimum on time |
3. |
Reverse currents due to sudden short switching on the primary side, which occurs under load variation, in burst mode etc., can be prevent using a function for estimating/monitoring the primary-side on time |
4. |
Off timing can be adjusted using an external resistor |
5. |
Switching by changing to unloaded mode terminal voltage is stopped, enabling current consumed by IC to be minimized. |
