The progression towards smaller and lower-power mobile devices has required that ICs used in the devices are miniaturized and consume less current.
<MM3404> was developed as a CMOS type series regulator with a very low saturation voltage to keep down power consumption and extend battery lifetime. Realizing high ripple-rejection characteristics of 75 dB/1 kHz, the MM3404 is suitable for use in a variety of electrical environments. It also features a chip enable function suitable for battery use applications, and keeps current down to 20, when not loaded.
The MM3404 is offered in 4 types of package - the miniature PLP-4A and PLP-4B types designed for high-density mounting and the conventional SC-82 and SOT-25 types for surface mounting.
