In order to contain and minimize damages that may be caused by the big earthquake that may occur in every corner of Japan such as Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and Niigataken Chuetsu-oki Earthquake, Japan Meteorological Agency has initiated the earthquake alert since October 1, 2007. This is the service first in the world and provides residents in Japan with earthquake information before strong tremors arrive. In conjunction with the start of this service, CATV service providers have started their services to broadcast the earthquake information from the Meteorological Agency to ordinary households aiming to disseminate the service.
This product has been developed with Broad Net Mux Corporation such that it can meet the specifications that have been developed by Jupiter Telecommunications Co., Ltd. We are going to manufacture the product and Broad Net Mux Corporation is to market the product.

1.	Calculates the expected seismic intensity and arrival time of the earthquake based on Earthquake Early Warning received via CATV network and such terminal specific data as location of the terminal.
2.	Informs the user of the calculated data with voice and LED (flash light). Automatically adjusts the sound level in proportion to the urgency.
3.	Can receive FM broadcastings. Can automatically select the wired radio or radio wave radio depending on the connection of AC adaptor.
4.	Can automatically receive announcement issued by the public institutions in case of disaster.
5.	Main body of the terminal is portable and equipped with a flashlight function.
