Overview
Since percentage of the home appliances that are digitally controlled by software in the onboard microcomputer keeps increasing in recent years, it is required to detect the power failure or inadvertent disconnection of power cable from the outlet and to save or back up the data quickly. This product is the power supply IC that can detect such AC input condition as above. We have developed such circuit used in AC power supply as PFC circuit that has the protection circuit. The protection circuit is composed of small number of parts and has three detection functions, which are over voltage protection, lower output voltage detection and AC input interruption detection functions.
The detection function in the conventional set products has been composed of discrete components. With the adoption of this product, the detection accuracy can be increased and the standby power can be reduced. The type of package is SOP-8, which can meet the requirements for the flow soldering.
