Terrestrial digital 1seg broadcasting started in April, 2006. Reception for cellular phones is now also available. Presently, sales of cellular phones with the 1seg broadcasting reception function are growing steadily. Manufacturers of various mobile and navigational devices are considering its adoption. Thus a growth in demand is expected.
As mentioned above, MITSUMI has developed a compact module with excellent environmental characteristics that can be installed on a wide range of devices starting with cellular phones.
