In December 2003, the terrestrial digital broadcasting has been started in three large city areas and the service coverage will be expanded up to 92% of Japan by the end of the year. With this expansion of service areas, there are growing demands for tuners for the terrestrial and BS digital broadcastings.
We have developed the three-in-one type digital tuner for the each of terrestrial, BS and 110-degree CS digital broadcastings. The efficient use of space as well as the integrated design has been taken into account in the development and the tuner is smaller than our previous model by 18.6% in its space factor.
This product can have small size by employing the front-end IC and high-performance demodulation IC, and be used in a variety of products in addition to the flat TVs and DVD recorders. The front-end IC is highly-functional and highly-packaged and the demodulation IC is compliant with both of ISDB-T and ISDB-S specifications.

1.	Both terrestrial digital and BS digital broadcastings can be received.
2.	With high-performance demodulating IC employed, the tuner is highly sensitive and highly resistant to interferences.
3.	The tuner is downsized and compliant with ARIB standard.
