High performance multi-sectional PD method, 2 phase digital output
PD-IC for encoders
MM1728XB, MM1744XB
Announced on September 29, 2006
MM1728XB, MM1744XB
Overview
Stepping motors were used in conventional office automation equipment including printer, scanner, etc. However, recently, the mainstream is DC motors and encoder modules. This product has been developed to output the movement using the light source and encoder slit by 2-phase digital signal, detect the position and control the device. High accuracy has been realized by signal equation using multi-sectional PD method.
MM1728XB can detect positions and control the device by using the encoder slit of 150LPI. MM1744XB can detect positions and control device by 300LPI allowing twofold resolution by using the encoder slit of 150LPI with combination of PD shape and IC internal circuit (Patent pending).
